MOTOR is proud to present the debut release from Seattle via Tacoma’s, Jack McGougan aka Cleanser. ‘Violence Is A Dream’ could not be a more suiting title for the intense ferocity spread across the release’s 10 distortion-laden tracks. Here we see Jack dip in and out of (musical) consciousness while expressing a cohesive, highly-internalized, and almost blissfully ominous ideal through short and longform productions both rhythmic and beatless. Tracks like ‘Civilizer’ and ‘Cleaning Loop’ maintain an integral role in upholding a fluid archetype / foundation while tracks like ‘Repeat, Transform’ display McGougan’s flair for deep and sturdy dance-floor ready productions. MTR014 stands as a strong snap shot of the Cleanser project and is a mere taste of what’s yet to come.
